Symphony No. 5, one of very few works where Western classical music is successfully combined with elements from jazz and rock, features the well-known, award-winning French jazz guitarist Nguye^n Le^. Accordionist Mika Va¨yrynen, a pioneer in contemporary accordion music, is the soloist in the composer's concerto for accordion and orchestra, Prophecy, a work he also premiered.
